We are in the dog days of summer, hot hot, a warm breeze blowing through the house, shades drawn for a modicum of coolness, my dog where she loves to be, beside my feet, but it’s too hot, I mustn’t touch the dog with my bare feet or she becomes the only thing around that’s nippy.
